A 2-Step Plan for Coping with Negativity

13 Elul 5767

I just learned from Booklocker, the publisher of my forthcoming book, that publication is in further progress. I plan to post a Media Release at this site as soon as the books are available for purchase.

Meanwhile, I want to share some insights with you about one of the worst problems that keep popping up during medical and emotional crises: NEGATIVTY. I've faced it lifelong, as have you. Medical or emotional crises increase our awareness of negativity. Here's a 2-Step Plan for Coping with Negativity. Use it when you're in a crunch.

1. Understand Who’s Responsible for Your Happiness

If we demand that someone or something change in order to make us happy, we place them and/or circumstances in control of our happiness. Dwelling on what’s not yet in your life is self-sabotage.

This concept applies to health and emotional crises.

Happiness is your responsibility. Keep inventory of what’s already “good” in your life. That helps you to weather difficult times. And it helps you to identify increasing goodness in your life.

Are people trying to help you?
Did something unexpected and pleasant happen to you?
Did something you dread fail to happen to you?
CELEBRATE!

And keep your positive moods going strong with smiles. Even when you must force a smile, you’re teaching your body that you can cope with distress.

Feeling down and can’t seem to shake the lousy mood? Announce out loud that you’re giving the negative vibes to the universe so the negativity can be recycled in some productive way.

2. Don’t Undermine Your Happiness. Avoid Commercials and Advertisements. I feel schizophrenic after reading or hearing content that tells me how wonderful I am, as I am. But the advertisements/commercials insist that I will not be fulfilled or realize my destiny unless I buy countless products to improve my figure, prowess, smile, income, furniture, etc. That tactic is great for publishers. They’ll keep selling their newest editions and broadcasts to insecure and confused customers trapped in the vicious cycle. Realize it for what is is: a sales tool with little to no bearing on reality.

Nobody gets to heaven or a calm state of mind because they used the correct toothpaste or scored the biggest business deal.

One more thought before I sign off today: I suspect that the reason so many forms of therapy (animal exposure therapy such as horse riding or holding warm, cuddly creatures, talk therapy, etc.) work as well as they do is because they maximize a person's intention to cope or to heal. Focus is key. When you increase your desire and awareness of how to cope with various issues, you do. You cope. And you heal as much as possible.

All the best, Yocheved

Mid-September or Late September

8 Elul , 5767

Snafus in the snail mail system led to a delay in the publication of my book. I know you're eager to read it, and I'm even more eager for that to happen! But fate set up the more traditional mid- to late September scenario for my book's debut. It has long been the traditional time for books of the new season to be launched.

The good news is that you and I will go with the flow and reap our rewards as soon as my book reaches the market. Meanwhile, I still respond to private E-mails upon request, with information from my "Resources Around the World" section. The facts that I share indicate contact information about benefiting from cutting-edge therapies and therapists, reduced-price medications and medical appliances, and a whole lot more.

About the Life Coaching that I Do

2 Elul 5767

I'm breathless with anticipation for my book to be released. Success is all in the details (as are You-Know-Who and the yukky other you-know-who). I'll post the purchase information details as soon as they're reality.

Meanwhile, I want to draw your attention to the Life Coaching that I do.

My newest client made such remarkable progress since I began working with her in mid-July 2007. Now she sleeps better, is maintaining her diet, quit the job causing her sleepless nights and acid stomach, gets better results from her teen children (THAT is always a miracle!), found a better job just over a month after starting to work with me, and crows about my ability to zero in on problematic areas (yep, my intuition pays off in spades!) to help her to get the results she wants.

I help male clients, too. Ladies, I can assure you that men think of more than what you're accusing them of. That, too, but there's a whole lotta excellent character to admire in many men.

I draw on a diverse background of experience and expertise at helping people to go forward. I learned a lot about the human mind in my previous career as a Health Information Management professional in the USA. I examined medical and psychiatric records for legal, statistical, insurance and other purposes. I interacted with medical and mental health professionals from diverse areas of practice. The exposure led to quite an education about human thought processes.

Once certfied as an EMETT leader (based on the works of psychologist Dr. Miriam Adahan), I opted to study spiritual healing under the guidance of former Denver resident Ilan Feldman. I also studied the Psych-K Belief Change System and my successes at helping others mushroomed. These skills and my personal experience at coping with a horrific life and death situation led to the manuscript being published for the benefit of people facing their own medical and emotional crises. It's MY Crisis! can help you and or a loved one to manage the emotional and physical turmoil of a medical or emotional challenge.

Look for my next "post" after the weekend and buy your copy soon. All the best, Yojeved

Countdown to P-Day...

25 Av 5767, August 9 2007

Publication Day will soon be here. We had a small mechanical delay due to the artwork on my book cover (my fault for wanting to insert too much info on the back cover). The file, by the way, is too big for reproduction at this blog. What you see in the upper left corner of the blog is a close similarity to the fonts on the actual book cover.

Blurbs (in this case, praise from mental and medical health professionals) appear on the back cover with a quick synopsis of the book.

My graphics team is chugging out "On Sale Here" banners for stores that will carry It's MY Crisis! as well as the Licenses to Cry (they make great bookmarks!), my business cards and magnets.

The colorful assemblage will travel the world within my Media Kits for book reviewers, to buyers of my book, and to book shops.

If you want to receive my publicity materials via E-mail, let me know at giveretgolani@gmail.com. They'll take a bit of time to download on your PC.

See you in bookstores soon! Yojeved

The Book is Being Prepared for Sale as You Read this Update ;^ )

18 Av 5767, August 2 2007

It's a wonderful day in my writing life! Booklocker's staff is getting my book ready for international distribution as you read these words. And while your eyes are here, I want to add a BIG message of thanks to my wonderful, compassionate, intelligent and completely full of integrity publishers, Angela and Richard Hoy.

As soon as the URL for online purchases is ready, I will post it here. I will include information for bulk purchases at discounted prices.

That purchase information should make life simpler for business owners desiring to sell my book to clients. Several business owners have already contacted me to request such information. Yep, word is out around the world that "It's MY Crisis!" is a wonderful, inspiring read.

Expect to read my MEDIA RELEASE at this blog soon. I plan to send it to key people throughout broadcast and print media plus online news resources, and of course to the publishing, medical and mental health industries. A MEDIA RELEASE, by the way, is different from a press release. It is designed to be used by Internet sites, broadcast and print media, as well as by laypersons interested in receiving the information.

Information about the Life Coaching side of my life will be included with that Media Release and my forthcoming book.

Best of health to you and every blessing for goodness in your life,

Yojeved/Yocheved (see the left-hand margin for the reason why I spell my name two ways)
